Harvey I. Metro, CPA

Harvey Metro, along with his father Stuart Metro, formed Metro Metro & Associates in 1994. Harvey and Stuart have maintained professional relationships exceeding 30 years. Harvey received his degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Harvey serves on the board of directors of Homecrest House and the Association of Practicing CPAs. He is also the treasurer for the Olney Boys and Girls Club.

In December 2002, Harvey was honored by Washingtonian Magazine when he was named as one of the 41 Accountants “On Top of Their Game.”

Anthony L. Giorgio, CPA

Anthony joined Metro Metro & Associates as a senior accountant in 1998 and became a partner of the firm in 2006. Anthony has been working in public accounting for more than 15 years. A 1989 graduate of the University of Maryland with a BS degree in Accounting, Anthony has focused his attention on developing the skills to work with small- and medium-sized businesses.

Prior to joining Metro Metro & Associates, Anthony worked for local firms where his responsibilities included all aspects of his clients’ accounting needs, from managing audits to preparing financial statements and tax returns. His attention to detail and ability to form friendly relationships with the clients are among the many reasons he is a valuable member of our team.

Anthony is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Society of Accountants.

Neil E. Berger, CPA

Neil joined Metro Metro & Associates as a manager in 2003 and became a partner of the firm in 2006. Neil holds a BS/MA in Microbiology from the American University and received his degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland, University College.

Neil performs audits, reviews and compilations of non-profit organizations and closely held businesses. He also prepares tax returns for corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts and non-profit organizations. In addition, Neil assists clients with tax-and business-planning issues.

Before coming to Metro Metro & Associates, Neil was a manager for a small local accounting firm, and a manager for Silver Diner, Inc. His experience as a successful business owner and manager gives him the necessary expertise to consult with our clients. He has first-hand knowledge of what it takes to run a business, making him a highly valuable asset of Metro Metro & Associates and our clients.

Neil is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Society of Accountants.

Sonal Dahiya, MBA

Sonal graduated from Tufts University in Medford, MA with a BS degree in Biology and later received his MBA with a concentration in Accounting from Boston University

Sonal carries an impressive resume. His diverse experiences range from working with very small to very large companies and in the capacity of Staff Auditor, Director of Finance, Internal Auditor, and Financial Analyst.

Sonal brings a dynamic range of auditing experience. His industry knowledge includes technology, non-profit, large restaurants, real estate investment, and retailing to name a few.

Sonal is responsible for managing audits, business consulting, and tax engagements.

Jennifer K Tina

Jennifer joined Metro Metro & Associates as a staff accountant in 2004. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, MD in 1999 with a BS degree in Accounting.

Prior to joining Metro Metro & Associates, Jennifer worked for a public accounting firm in Baltimore where her main responsibility was real estate audits. She also worked as an internal auditor for a privately owned real estate investment firm in New York City.

Jennifer is responsible for audits, preparation of individual tax returns, personal property tax returns and individual tax planning. She is a member of the Maryland Society of Accountants.

Jennifer M. Wurzel

Jennifer joined Metro Metro & Associates as a staff accountant in 2006. She graduated from the California State University, Chico, in 1997 with a BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in Business. She completed her Accounting course work at Montgomery College.

Prior to joining Metro Metro & Associates, Jennifer worked for a small local accounting firm for seven years. Her responsibilities include QuickBooks consulting, preparation of tax returns and assisting in audits.
